Maximum Ride to Become a Comic Book Series! And Other News on the Series…

Hello readers!

I apologize for not posting in a couple months, school has kept me busy along with my second novel. I’ll try to be better with posting on here; I haven’t forgotten about you all!

So, just recently I ran across the news that the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson is going to be made into a comic series. The link for more information and an interview with James Patterson on the topic can be read here

How do you feel about the series being made into a comic? I think it’s interesting.  There’s only one sample of artwork on the website but I love the colors! I think I’d be more interested in reading the comics than the Manga, probably because comics tend to have more vivid colors; at least in my opinion and what I’ve personally seen. Of course nothing can beat the original novels themselves! Speaking of…

There are new covers for adult versions of the series (to be on sale 10/28)! I don’t really like how they look, but apparently they’re supposed to draw in an adult audience (as Patterson has stated). There’s only new covers for four of the novels, so perhaps only those are adult oriented? I’m also not sure how much the content has changed (if at all) to please an adult audience. I’ll be interested to check it out, of course. Do you like the covers?

On another fun note…

Patterson is writing another novel for the Maximum Ride series! It’s to take place after “Nevermore.” It’s entitled “Forever” and it’s to be released on 1/19/15. You can read the first chapter for free on Hopefully he gets back in touch with his writing styles in the first few novels because, personally, the characters and plot were a lot more enjoyable then. The last book didn’t answer all of my questions and didn’t quite satisfy, so hopefully he ends the series well with this last Max Ride novel. Will you be reading it?

That’s all the news I have for you! Fly on!

Fan Art Friday: Maximum Ride

Fan art Friday! This week I’m focusing on Maximum Ride as the main theme. Thanks to IAmEmilyK for the featured image! She used photoshop for her photo manipulation; cool, right? Super, epically awesome.

ashkatt. I LOVE Iggy’s wings! Bout time he got some recognition. And off to the side is little Ari; I love how they depicted him because so many people draw him so much older. He’s only seven or nine if I remember correctly!

yukieiri22000. Always gotta love Fang without a shirt on 😉 I do very much love the background as well though, it looks so peaceful!fang_water_bathing_by_yukieiri22000-d3f02i7

gemmafm. Little Angel when they first discover that she can breathe under water. I’m not sure what I love more, Angel herself, or the details of the water! Super realistic and beautiful colors! And that little face! I also love how little droplets of water are dripping from her bottom feathers.

snf3000. I love this angle of Fang, it’s so different! The lighting is just stunning, and I love how he’s standing on the edge of a cliff! Super awesome!

Greenticky. Angel when she first gets captured. I am just absolutely mesmerized by her wings! Amazing!

Follyfoot. Max’s wings here are done really well, that’s what I love so much about it! And the little blood splots around the whole thing? Awesome.

laurastellinamia. Dylan…*drools, drools a lot* At first I hated his character, but I grew to like him. I love all the details this artist gives! The shading and his expression is pretty much to die for.

seanfarislover. So many people! AH! Fang’s gang and the Flock. The artist added in their description that they loved Iggy with a bowtie in “Nevermore” so that’s why he has one 🙂 It looks like this one took so much work!

sbrigs. Dylan again! I mainly like the look on his face ^_^ Great detail overall!

beforethedarkness. To end the artwork, why not end it with a FANG. Instead of ending it with a bang? Get it? Anyway…

Love the expression on his face and the scars on his side! Reminds me of the battle on the beach. And, yeah, Fang is also topless and that’s never something to complain about 🙂

Do you have your own artwork of Maximum Ride? Make sure to check out all these artists on deviantART; their galleries are amazing!

Fang is Awesome

So I’m working on a new painting which I’ll feature here once I’m done, since I’m doing Maximum Ride. In the process of looking up the lettering for the Maximum Ride novels, I was just scrolling down Google and ran across this AWESOME drawing of Fang.

So, thank you jennybunbuns on deviantART for this great drawing of Fang. Such great detail, and the wings are so fabulous! Excuse me while I swoon over him…

Fly on! And keep on drawing better than me 😉

Overall thoughts after reading the Maximum Ride series

  • Sorry for long title, but I couldn’t shorten it up any more than that 🙂

Maximum Ride is a young adult series written by James Patterson, that consist of eight novels all together.

Overall I love this series, hence: why I have a whole section in my blog dedicated to it. Dur 🙂

However, it’s time to go more in-depth into the series as a whole. I’ll be kinda mean sometimes, so don’t mind me. Some things just really bothered me…

Here’s my rank of best to worst of the books, starting with the best:

-Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. Freaking epic, and it has the funniest stuff in there. Plus Fang and Max are officially together. No fighting between them, just bliss. All the characters have their glory.

-The Angel Experiment. Max is the funniest in this one. Plus it’s the first, and I loves ❤

-School’s Out Forever. Good character developments.

-Max. Fang and Max get closer, and her mom is a bigger part in the story as a whole.

-Fang. Interesting plot developments. Hate the ending though.

-Angel. The core of the plot of people trying to destroy the world are at a good rank in this one. It goes back to the old roots of the beginning of the series. It’s just…characters…not touched that much.

-Nevermore. Weird that the last book is near the end of my list, huh? So disappointed :/

-The Final Warning. No one cares about global warming, Patterson! Stop preaching to us and get back to the plot! Gosh DANG IT!

There you go 🙂 so, like I said before, I really love this series as a whole. I love Max’s attitude and witty comebacks, and having her as a narrator was clever and fun to read. That said, here are my thoughts of the series as a whole, mainly with the last book.

  • My biggest complaint, that’s what I’ll start with first: Iggy. Why was his character so lost as the series progressed? 😦 He was and is my favorite character, yet Patterson threw him in the background as the series went onward. Very sad. In the last book Iggy could’ve had more glory, like touching the trees in “paradise” to “see” the colors, or have his treehouse painted white so that he can see everything around him. So many opportunities lost with him.
  • Gazzy and Nudge were lost as well. Nudge never had much of an impact on me even from the beginning, and I thought he’d grow her character. When he does try to have scenes with her I can’t connect. Sad face 😦
  • Angel. *shakes my head* She got too crazy for me. I dislike her character as a whole, and didn’t like her from book four to six. I finally felt some pity for her in the last book, but still…she was just unecessarily overdone. Which brings me to the next point…
  • Angel can NOT be the Voice!! AHHH!! If anything pissed me the hell off in the last book, it would be that. Not only does it piss me off that Patterson wanted to give Angel yet another attribute, but it’s another thing that it makes absolute no sense. She can read minds…so? Can she really be that smart in knowing everything? No. How would Jeb know about the Voice? How could Angel reach Max at such far distances? In the last book, she could’ve said in their head, “yo, get me out!” instead of using the Voice. Plus Angel said she had her own Voice. It’s just pissing me off. I think Iggy should’ve been the Voice. He can be like, “yo, I’m blind, but I’m freaking smart as hell. You’re welcome.”
  • Positive note: I loved the relationship between Fang and Max. It’s not ooey-goeey, but the realistic kind where you have problems and where you get in heated arguments. They’re real, and I can connect. I love them!
  • Was Total necessary?
  • Ella should have more character development. When Iggy kisses her at the end I was like, “hmmm…wish I felt more than just a small smile.”
  • The Final Warning wasn’t necessary. At all.
  • Get ready: I actually like Dylan. In “Fang” I didn’t like him much, but in “Angel” I got to liking him. He brought out a lot in Max that Fang couldn’t easily do. Just the whole “I was designed to be with you” thing creeped me out a bit. I mean…sheesh.
  • So…Dr. Martinez was brainwashed by Jeb in book seven and eight? No. Just no. Stop finding the easy way out, Patterson. Should’ve gotten more creative than that.
  • What happened to the red headed wonder? Max was warned that she could be a problem. Yet she never came back. And another plot point was missed: Ella running off in “Angel” to get wings. Yet that’s not touched ever again in “Nevermore.” I mean…wtf?
  • I love Max. I love her personality, her witty comebacks, and her thoughts. She’s a great narrator. I know her character grows throughout the series, but I still wish her sarcasm was kept in the later books. I missed them.
  • I didn’t really like how much the flock exposed themselves to the world. The plot was much better when they had to hide.
  • I love Ari. I mean, at first I hated him, but in the third book I loved his character. I’m so mad Patterson brought him back in the last book. He should’ve left him alone.
  • Patterson is great with twists. Every book seemed to have one (almost), and it kept me guessing as to what’s coming next.
  • The amount of enemies was great. What happened with Itex? Maybe I just don’t remember…
  • The very very ending of the last book was nice, although I would’ve enjoyed the whole flock there together instead of just Dylan, Angel, Max, and Fang. Again this shows lack of connection with the other flock members. Sad face 😦

But, like I said, I liked the series as a whole very much 🙂 I just think some details should’ve been left out and some should’ve been added. I do like the characters altogether though, they compliment one another and make the plot more realistic.

I shall miss Max, but of course I can always go back and read her stories any time I want 🙂

Funny Art: Maximum Ride

For this Fan art Friday, I decided to find some art from deviantART that focuses on Maximum Ride. This time I sought out the funny pictures 🙂 Enjoy! And thank you to SpiralNinja05 for the cover photo!

If Fang was able to do karaoke night…

The part in second book (I believe second?) when Fang messes with the guys, saying that God doesn’t like them. Max describes him as the angel of death at this scene; it’s also one of the first times we see Fang being funny. Love it!

Maximum Ride: Iggy

Okay, so I think it’s time to focus on one of my favorite characters of all time, and my favorite in the Maximum Ride series: Iggy. Feel the Iggy love today, baby! YEAH! (thanks to SpiralNinja05 for the featured image)

Anyway, this kid is the fun-loving bird kid who’s blind, a pyro, and has an excellent sense of humor. I’m very sad that his role gets underplayed a lot since he’s my absolute favorite character in the James Patterson series “Maximum Ride”, but the moments he does have are priceless. So today I celebrate this wonderful guy! 😀

Here’s more of a background: these six kids were experimented on while they were born, and scientists included 2% avian in their blood, so their bones are dense and and they have bird wings. Awesome, right? So, Iggy’s eyes got experimented on (which you get to see first hand in the last book, which freaking broke my heart), that was supposed to improve his eyesight, but obviously that went bad and now he’s blind. Does this bring our Iggy down? Nope. Over time Iggy picks up the power to feel colors, as well as see objects with a white backdrop. His senses are the best in the whole flock, where he can identify anyone in the flock based on footsteps, feather texture, or the feeling of their skin. Max is quoted to say that she’s the most comfortable with Iggy keeping watch because of his high senses. Oh, and only once do we see Iggy break down because of his blindness, or about twice, and those scenes are my favorite yet are so sad at the same time.

And for those of you that don’t know, the Maximum Ride series has become a manga, so I’ll show you what Iggy looks like in this manga (he’s on the left in the first picture):

So, to appreciate mister Iggy (whose real name is James, as we find out early in the series), I’m going to quote our six foot two, skinny, and awkward guy to his glory 🙂 Ah, I love Iggy.

“Fnick,” I heard Iggy mutter under his breath and I ignored him.
“So Fnick, can I change the channel? There’s a game on.” Iggy said.
“Make yourself at home, Figgy,” Fang said.

“I offered to pee on him but they said no,” Iggy said, sounding disapointed.

Iggy: “Ok, so  I know it’s spring, and we’re all thinking about the birds and the bees, and the moths and the caterpillars . . .”

Nudge: “Moths?!”

Fang: “No one’s thinking about caterpillars.”

“I’ll grab a zebra; Gaz, you fill all the bubbles with your trademark scent, so people are choking and gagging; and let’s throw beef jerky in their eyes! Now, that’s a plan!”-Iggy

“…and since we’re not surronded by snow. I’m still blind, on the other hand this carpet is a tasteful ecru with a thin cinnamon stripe close to the wall.” -Iggy

“He’s gonna be fine,” I confirmed.
“Can we see him?” Iggy asked.
“Ig, I hate to break it to you, but you’re blind.”

Max: “Okay guys, I had a couple thoughts I wanted to go over with you.”

Iggy: (pretends to snore loudy)

Max: (throws another pinecone at him)

Iggy: “Quit throwing things at me!”

Max: “Glad you could join us.””

Iggy: Can I come in?”

Max: “No! I’m in a towel!”

Iggy: “I’m blind!”

Borcht: “Does anysing on you vork properly?”
Iggy: “Well, I have a highly developed sense of irony.”

“How did you become blind, uh, Jeff is it?”
“Yeah, Jeff. Well, I looked directly at the sun, you know, the way they always tell you not to. If only I had listened.” -Iggy

Nudge: “You aren’t dead.”
Iggy (irritably): “No. You aren’t dead either. How about just ‘hello’?”

And now for some fan art from deviantart, since you can’t enjoy Iggy without some awesome art work 🙂 it’s hard for me to narrow it down!

Aw! burdge-bug draws Iggy and Gazzy high five-ing after probably a huge explosion ^_^ even though Iggy is blind, he never misses a high five, especially with his best friend.

Oh, the sweet sound of explosives in the morning 🙂 SpiralNinja05 draws Iggy being his happy little self while listening to something explode. I also love Gazzy’s face ^_^

I can’t stop laughing XD annastasia draws Iggy all happy about his new power about feeling colors. I love Max’s face to the side, probably thinking: oh my goodness, please someone shut him up.

Ha! tanginova draws Iggy holding a birthday cake, which probably has some type of explosives in it lol I love his cruel little smile

Awww 🙂 Reckoner97 draws Max and Iggy together, which is actually really sweet. Pictures like these reminds me that Max cares about everyone in the flock and not just Fang.

Ha! 😀 I love how SpiralNinja05 drew Iggy here 🙂 He’s such a pyro, and he’s acting all innocent while listening to his ipod. Love this drawing!

And just because I can, I’m putting mine up here too 😀 my deviantart username is srobi, and I recently drew Iggy 🙂 So, hope it’s good enough to fit with the others!

This one is by far my favorite done by Blue-Hearts. He just looks so serene in his blind world. Ah. I love Iggy so much 🙂

Yay Iggy! 🙂 I’ll be introducing more of the flock later, I just had to do Iggy today because it just feels like an Iggy kind of day! Plus we gotta do our favorite characters first 😉

What’s your favorite quote by Iggy?

“Nevermore” Spoilers

As promised from yesterday’s post, I’m going to give you the spoilers of the last book in the series. I don’t really get these, since you should just read the book and find out yourself, but sometimes, I guess, knowing that your whole world in fantasy land isn’t going to come crashing down. Like, is Max really going to die? Knowing she is or isn’t helps you prepare for the moment and not cry over the pages. Ha! Anyway, I’ll start with the questions that I posted yesterday, where I just put my reaction.

And, as I said, this post is going to be full of spoilers, so if you don’t want to read what happens then LOOK AWAY. NOW! Instead you may prefer my review where it doesn’t spoil anything, where you can check it out here

Okay, off for the questions:

-What side is Jeb really on? And will Max ever forgive him for what he’s done to her?

Umm…I think this is up to the reader, really. I think Jeb is just a twisted guy, and he loves his daughter, but I don’t know…he’s a confusing fellow. He’s a part of keeping Angel captive and also out to kill Fang and also made another Ari (I’ll explain that later), so I think he’s just a bit disturbed. I still don’t know what side he’s on.

-Will Angel make it out of wherever she got captured in the ending of “Angel”? Where is she captured to begin with?

Yes, she does. As for where she got captured? Not sure, just somewhere evil, ha!

-What happened to Ella? Will she get experimented on too?

*shrug* good question. Quite frankly she only comes up once and that’s at the end, so I was a little confused by that. Wasn’t she determined to get wings? Wasn’t Max going to find her in the end of “Angel”? I think Patterson forgot about that plot point.

-What ever happened to the “redheaded wonder” that Fang was crushing on in the fourth book? Wasn’t Max warned that she could possibly be working for the evil side?

Good question, me. Good question. She never comes up again, as neither does Mr. Chu. Or, very long while back, Ter Borcht. I mean, what happened to those guys? Did they go to evil college together to take a break from their plans?

-Will Fang ever join the flock again? Will Max ever be okay with Maya?

Yes, Fang does come back. As for Maya? *happy dance* I’ll go into detail about that in a second. I’m a happy person 🙂

-Will Jeb and Dr. Martinez be okay? Where did they go anyway?

Jeb= crazy man, as always. Dr. Martinez= supposedly brainwashed woman. I don’t buy it. I’ll explain in a second.

-What event is the end of the world? How will Max save it?

That’s complicated. First the end of the world is this virus that’s supposed to infect all of mankind so only “enhanced” people will survive. Then BAM this whole new thing hits the world, like an outside of this world disastor. Dylan explains it to be a meteor exploding outside of Earth or something along those lines, I don’t know, it was actually kind of confusing yet intense. The sky opened up, there was a bunch of heat, there were big waves, and then the epilogue came up. It’s just like…WHAT? And does Max save the world? Well…technically no.

-Will a flock member die? (Rumor has it that may happen).

No, no flock member dies.

-Will Iggy ever get his eyesight back?

Nope, he’s forever blind.

-Is Dylan officially a part of their flock now?

I suppose so, yes.

-Will the rest ever find their parents?

No. It doesn’t matter in this point in the game anyway.

-Dylan or Fang?

Here’s your answer:

blindbandit5 She ends up with Fang. It’s actually quite sweet when he comes back. He’s very open with his emotions. He makes me swoon 🙂 I’m so glad these two end up together.

Alright, now let me knick off the crazy stuff to spoil the novel even more.

-Who dies: Maya (HAZA!! YES!!! FINALLY!!!), and Ari (again, haha)

-Speaking of Ari, yes, he comes back. Not the real Ari, just a replacement that Jeb made because he was feeling so bad that he raised his real son awfully. I mean, I guess I can get this plot twist, but it actually made me very upset. Why couldn’t Patterson leave Ari alone? I really enjoyed the boy he turned into in the third book right before he passed away. He should’ve just left him alone. I suppose he was just trying to bring Erasers back, I suppose. Didn’t really work for me.

-The Voice: get ready for it…

Angel. Yup. The Voice is Angel. As you can imagine, I was like o.O WHAT? It doesn’t make sense to me, I couldn’t really put the pieces together. I mean, I get Angel can talk in peoples’ heads, but I mean come ON. Really? How would Angel really be that smart even in the beginning of the series? Plus, the Voice pops up when Max is at really far distances, and I don’t believe that Angel can even reach that far through thought. Which I want to bring up another point. While she was captured in this book, the Voice spoke in Max’s head (and everyone else’s), but she didn’t bother to actually say in her own voice: “yo, pick me up, would you? I’m dying here!” Also, how would Jeb know about the Voice? Remember him imitating it in the third book? Things just don’t add up.

-Cool twists:

1. Dr. Martinez is found on the “bad side”. But, apparently, Jeb brainwashed her to be there. Which, as you can guess, I don’t believe. Patterson just wanted a way to still make her a good person somehow. I call bull.

2. Fang’s DNA is now super freaking badass. In this book, a bunch of scientists are after him because Fang holds…wait for it…the key to immortality. Give yourself a moment to let that sink in. All of the scientists want this guy now to test on and etc, but Jeb wants him dead because that kind of power will populate the Earth too much or something along those lines. Which reminds me of the next point.

3. Dylan goes a little coo-coo. He’s asked to kill Fang because of reason above, and at first he says no. Then he realizes that other scientists want him, and he doesn’t want Fang to be tested on for the rest of his life, so to put him out of his future torture, he goes on a mission to kill the guy. Stupid Dylan.

4. As for why they developed gills, I first thought it was a way for Patterson to get the flock out of the situation in the fourth book. But no, alas, it came in handy in this one. When I mean come in handy, I mean save their lives. Max and Fang (very beautiful scene, by the way) hold onto each other as a massive waves comes in to kill them, and right before it crashes, Fang declares his love for her. *swoon* And when you think they’re dead…BAM! Epilogue, they’re just fine. Quite frankly I already remembered that they could breathe underwater, I just thought that the massive weight of the water would crush them.

5. Already mentioned above, but Ari comes back. I’m not a happy person about that subject.

6. Fang’s gang obviously splits up. I hated those guys anyway, they had no character to me. They weren’t trustworthy, as I came to find out anyway. Star and Kate end up going on Ari’s side because they want to be saved and blah, blah, blah. And Fang just ends up leaving the other guys in the gang. Good job, Fang. Good job. Which reminds me, right before Maya died (YAY!), she confessed her love for Fang. I wanted to slap a girl across the face. How long has she known him? Like, five months? Shut up, girl, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I obviously couldn’t feel the sadness Fang was feeling when she passed, I was too busy popping the confetti.

Alright, I think I got the main points all spoiled for you ^_^ In another post I’m going to jot down all of my thoughts while reading the book just for kicks and giggles. I’ll link it here when it’s finished.

Enjoy reading, and tell me what you thought about the book!

Review on “Nevermore”

Yes, I’m an incredibly fast reader. I bought the book around 1:30 today and have finished it three hours later. It’s 344 pages long, by the way, so I was actually going kind of slow. You know, I do need food and bathroom breaks 🙂

Anyway, you don’t want to hear me ramble. I’m going to give you a review of the last Maximum Ride book without trying to spoil too much. Of course I’m just going to do that tomorrow, since I’m just evil like that. And after that, I’m posting my thought process throughout the story, just to get some kicks and giggles from my Maximum Ride fans.

Alright, so, here we go with a review with no spoilers. I’ll link a spoiled review in my post tomorrow. I guess I don’t want to ruin it just yet for other readers. The details, at least.

Anyway, let me go on a few key points that you find out in the story:

-What side Jeb is really on

-Where Dr. Martinez was, as well as why

-Who the Voice is

-Why the flock gained the ability of gills

-If Max ends up saving the world (ha, gets kind of complicated here. And a little confusing)

-Dylan or Fang

-Where Angel was captured at the end of the last book “Angel”

-HOW the world ends (I don’t know why I put that in all caps, by the way)

-What major characters die

-And (obviously) if Max survives or not

And, no, you never get to figure out who the parents are of the rest of the flock. Just putting that out there. Like, seriously, who was Fang’s parents? Come on.

Anyway, here we go. Let me give you a very quick sum of what I thought of the book right here and right now: very fast paced, and it felt too short.

Now let me go into more detail, eh?

First, the negatives: the pace was very, very fast. I mean, this can also be good, but at some points I was like “Hold up! Slow down! I can’t even connect with certain emotions they’re feeling!” Especially when it gets to the end. I was just like o.O from being so rushed. I think I read it twice. Then again being a huge fan, I’m so giddy with what’s going to happen that I don’t give myself time to slow down. So, tip: keep your pace with this book. Take some breaks. I think it’ll let the information sink in better.

Romance doesn’t seem to be in the proper places here. Right after crazy scenes with Fang, it’s all peaceful with Max and Dylan. I wanted to shake the book like crazy for at least some kind of fight to break out. I guess this also ties with the emotions factor. I didn’t feel like Patterson gave us enough time to click with what characters are feeling, since everything is just go, go, go! It’s kind of overwhelming. Maybe he wanted it to be that way?

Some points seemed to be missed. The Voice ends up giving advice to all of the flock members, and it doesn’t really connect with what actually ends up happening. I mean, at first you’re like “yeah! Go flock! Rock on!” But when it gets down to it, when I finished the last page, I couldn’t help but think: “umm…why did they want Nudge to do that? Or why did they want Iggy and Gazzy to do whatever? And Dylan? I mean…what?” It’s just kind of redundant.

Some points, also, seem unbelievable. Such as who the Voice is. I rolled my eyes when I read who it was. I mean….seriously? As well as with Dr. Martinez deal, I was just like: “No…that doesn’t add up.” Also, we get introduced with Max going to school (not the torture school, mind you) with her flock. Uh…why? From the ending of the last book, they should be looking for Ella. But no. Let’s go to school instead! I have a feeling Patterson forgot how his last book ended or something!

So, I need to give good points here, before I go nuts: Max seems more like herself. She gets tougher and more of her leader self like we were first introduced. So, I was happy about that. Although I do miss her snoody side comments. I guess when everything is getting so dark, I don’t blame her. Which is another point I’d like to address, is that I like how I watched these characters grow up in the series. They matured and got wiser, and we see that in this book. Well, to an extent.

Someone dies. I hollered like a cheerleader when they did. As I sung, “I can see clearly now that the rain is gone! I can see all obstacles in my waaaaaaaay!” I’m so glad I was at home, since when I read their death, I shouted, “Finally!”

The ending. Although rushed, I was like: “Yes! Yes! Ohhhhhh wait….NO!!” Then was shouting, “Yay!” I’ll go into more detail when I spoil it for you next post. I think I’m still a little frazzled from the ending. Especially Max’s last words. And don’t think that gives anything away, the epilogue clearly says “Max’s last words.” I know, you’re probably like “Holy CRAP!” Shhh, shhhh, it’s okay 🙂 But yes, I was fine with the ending as a whole, I suppose.

As for more good points? Hmmm. Well although it was rushed, it kept me flipping through the book like a freaking maniac. There’s also a new twist in there, so HAZA! Patterson still has some things left up in his sleeve.

So, I’ll answer some main questions that I had in a post a long time ago. I won’t answer them point-blank, just my reaction.

-What side is Jeb really on? And will Max ever forgive him for what he’s done to her?

Ha! Oh, Lord.

-Will Angel make it out of wherever she got captured in the ending of “Angel”? Where is she captured to begin with?

I’ll just answer this one: yes, she does. Where is she captured, you say? Hmmmm *taps fingers against my chin* just somewhere evil, of course.

-What happened to Ella? Will she get experimented on too?

-What ever happened to the “redheaded wonder” that Fang was crushing on in the fourth book? Wasn’t Max warned that she could possibly be working for the evil side?

Good question, me. Good question.

-Will Fang ever join the flock again? Will Max ever be okay with Maya?

Ha! *does a little happy dance* Epic. Just so epic.

-Will Jeb and Dr. Martinez be okay? Where did they go anyway?

If you call being a maniac okay, then….

-What event is the end of the world? How will Max save it?

My goodness, I didn’t see that coming. I did not see that coming at all.

-Will a flock member die? (Rumor has it that may happen).

Rumors are evil little buggers, aren’t they?

-Will Iggy ever get his eyesight back?

What a silly question.

-Is Dylan officially a part of their flock now?

Ummm….sure? Yes? I think? Why not!

-Will the rest ever find their parents?

I already spoiled this above, so no. It doesn’t matter in this point in the game anyway

-Dylan or Fang?

So, that will be my main review of this book by James Patterson. Overall I thought it was pretty good, and very suspenseful. I’ll probably read it again this week when my brain isn’t so fizzled with giddiness. I’m still trying to conjure everything that happened. And still a little bummed that certain things didn’t. Oh well, c’est la vie.

Enjoy reading it 🙂 I’m going to go on a whole rant of spoilers in my next post, which you can read here. Go and comment below if you’d like!

The end of Maximum Ride. Wow. I can’t wrap my head around it just yet. Am I sad it’s over? Yes, completely. Am I happy with the ending? Sort of.  Can I see another book after this one? There could easily be another one, but I doubt he’d do that. So, you be the judge. Read it and savor it. Nom, nom, nom.

Love all you Maximum Ride lovers, and fly on!
