Fan Art Friday: Maximum Ride

Fan art Friday! This week I’m focusing on Maximum Ride as the main theme. Thanks to IAmEmilyK for the featured image! She used photoshop for her photo manipulation; cool, right? Super, epically awesome.

ashkatt. I LOVE Iggy’s wings! Bout time he got some recognition. And off to the side is little Ari; I love how they depicted him because so many people draw him so much older. He’s only seven or nine if I remember correctly!

yukieiri22000. Always gotta love Fang without a shirt on 😉 I do very much love the background as well though, it looks so peaceful!fang_water_bathing_by_yukieiri22000-d3f02i7

gemmafm. Little Angel when they first discover that she can breathe under water. I’m not sure what I love more, Angel herself, or the details of the water! Super realistic and beautiful colors! And that little face! I also love how little droplets of water are dripping from her bottom feathers.

Soaked_by_Count_Altenburg

snf3000. I love this angle of Fang, it’s so different! The lighting is just stunning, and I love how he’s standing on the edge of a cliff! Super awesome!

Greenticky. Angel when she first gets captured. I am just absolutely mesmerized by her wings! Amazing!

Follyfoot. Max’s wings here are done really well, that’s what I love so much about it! And the little blood splots around the whole thing? Awesome.

laurastellinamia. Dylan…*drools, drools a lot* At first I hated his character, but I grew to like him. I love all the details this artist gives! The shading and his expression is pretty much to die for.

seanfarislover. So many people! AH! Fang’s gang and the Flock. The artist added in their description that they loved Iggy with a bowtie in “Nevermore” so that’s why he has one 🙂 It looks like this one took so much work!

sbrigs. Dylan again! I mainly like the look on his face ^_^ Great detail overall!

beforethedarkness. To end the artwork, why not end it with a FANG. Instead of ending it with a bang? Get it? Anyway…

Love the expression on his face and the scars on his side! Reminds me of the battle on the beach. And, yeah, Fang is also topless and that’s never something to complain about 🙂

Funny Art: Maximum Ride

For this Fan art Friday, I decided to find some art from deviantART that focuses on Maximum Ride. This time I sought out the funny pictures 🙂 Enjoy! And thank you to SpiralNinja05 for the cover photo!

The part in second book (I believe second?) when Fang messes with the guys, saying that God doesn’t like them. Max describes him as the angel of death at this scene; it’s also one of the first times we see Fang being funny. Love it!

Fan Art Friday: Book Couples

For this fan art Friday, I decided to snatch some of my favorite couples from novels and search for some fan art for them 🙂 Since my love life is currently in the crap hole, it’s nice to know that fictional characters have it pretty good, ha. Enjoy this week’s fan art, and let’s feel some love in the air! And thanks for the featured image by burdge-bug of Fang and Max ❤

Let’s start with my favorite couple of all time: Max and Fang. These two are in the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, and their love literally flies 😀 Artwork done by RiTTa1310 from deviantART (all of the art I find is from there).

My second favorite couple is Katniss and Peeta from The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. He is her dandelion in dark places, that one piece of sunlight that promises peace instead of destruction. Artwork thanks to burdge-bug

Next on my list is Annabeth and Percy from the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. I’m just reading the first one right now, but I like the two already 🙂 Drawing thanks to (again) burdge-bug. You have to check out her gallery, it’s so wonderful!

Next is Ron and Hermione from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I don’t know why, but I just enjoy these two ^_^ Artwork done by toerning

They’re not really a couple, but I just adored this relationship throughout the whole novel and was rooting them on. This couple is Sam and Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Since there’s not that much artwork of the two together, I ran into this artwork by shellentina that drew the characters based on the movie trailer preview. So, enjoy the artwork nonetheless 🙂

Next is Finnick Odair and Annie from The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. We meet these two in the second book, and they get married in the third. This guy is the most gorgeous and can choose anyone in any district, and he chooses the one that has a slight mental disorder. I love these two so much 🙂 Artwork thanks to lizzomarek

Next is Harry and Ginny from the Harry Potter Series. For some reason I enjoy how she likes him more than he likes her, if that makes any sense? XD Anyway, enjoy the beautiful artwork done by miyavi

Next is Edward and Bella from the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. The movies totally ruined the series, in my opinion, and the characters were just stomped all over. Sadness 😦 So let’s bring back some of the true love of these two that’s totally run over in the movies. Awesome artwork done by mariposa-nocturna, and it amuses me that this picture shows more love than the whole four movies so far 😀

Okay, so I’ve only read the first book in the True Blood series by Charlaine Harris, but I still enjoyed the couple of Sookie and Bill. Granted, they’re a sex drived couple (ha, ha), but I still enjoy them nonetheless. I should probably start reading the series again! Absolutely stunning artwork by trickyvicky1978.

And for the last couple, I decided to be bias and put in my own characters from my novel series 😀 My series is in the “Hayden Cressida series” tab to the right, so file through there if you’d like (I’ll add more stuff soon). These two are Hayden and Aryc, and I didn’t even intend for these two to be together, but they just had a mind of their own. And now I can’t tear them apart. Drawing done by me, and sorry for bad quality! 🙂 By the way, they’re half dragon, so that’s why they have the wings.

That’s this week’s fan art Friday! Hope you enjoyed, and make sure to check out all these artists on deviantART where they have much more in their gallery to check out 🙂 Have a great weekend!

“Nevermore” Spoilers

As promised from yesterday’s post, I’m going to give you the spoilers of the last book in the series. I don’t really get these, since you should just read the book and find out yourself, but sometimes, I guess, knowing that your whole world in fantasy land isn’t going to come crashing down. Like, is Max really going to die? Knowing she is or isn’t helps you prepare for the moment and not cry over the pages. Ha! Anyway, I’ll start with the questions that I posted yesterday, where I just put my reaction.

And, as I said, this post is going to be full of spoilers, so if you don’t want to read what happens then LOOK AWAY. NOW! Instead you may prefer my review where it doesn’t spoil anything, where you can check it out here

Okay, off for the questions:

-What side is Jeb really on? And will Max ever forgive him for what he’s done to her?

Umm…I think this is up to the reader, really. I think Jeb is just a twisted guy, and he loves his daughter, but I don’t know…he’s a confusing fellow. He’s a part of keeping Angel captive and also out to kill Fang and also made another Ari (I’ll explain that later), so I think he’s just a bit disturbed. I still don’t know what side he’s on.

-Will Angel make it out of wherever she got captured in the ending of “Angel”? Where is she captured to begin with?

Yes, she does. As for where she got captured? Not sure, just somewhere evil, ha!

-What happened to Ella? Will she get experimented on too?

*shrug* good question. Quite frankly she only comes up once and that’s at the end, so I was a little confused by that. Wasn’t she determined to get wings? Wasn’t Max going to find her in the end of “Angel”? I think Patterson forgot about that plot point.

-What ever happened to the “redheaded wonder” that Fang was crushing on in the fourth book? Wasn’t Max warned that she could possibly be working for the evil side?

Good question, me. Good question. She never comes up again, as neither does Mr. Chu. Or, very long while back, Ter Borcht. I mean, what happened to those guys? Did they go to evil college together to take a break from their plans?

-Will Fang ever join the flock again? Will Max ever be okay with Maya?

Yes, Fang does come back. As for Maya? *happy dance* I’ll go into detail about that in a second. I’m a happy person 🙂

-Will Jeb and Dr. Martinez be okay? Where did they go anyway?

Jeb= crazy man, as always. Dr. Martinez= supposedly brainwashed woman. I don’t buy it. I’ll explain in a second.

-What event is the end of the world? How will Max save it?

That’s complicated. First the end of the world is this virus that’s supposed to infect all of mankind so only “enhanced” people will survive. Then BAM this whole new thing hits the world, like an outside of this world disastor. Dylan explains it to be a meteor exploding outside of Earth or something along those lines, I don’t know, it was actually kind of confusing yet intense. The sky opened up, there was a bunch of heat, there were big waves, and then the epilogue came up. It’s just like…WHAT? And does Max save the world? Well…technically no.

-Will a flock member die? (Rumor has it that may happen).

No, no flock member dies.

-Will Iggy ever get his eyesight back?

Nope, he’s forever blind.

-Is Dylan officially a part of their flock now?

I suppose so, yes.

-Will the rest ever find their parents?

No. It doesn’t matter in this point in the game anyway.

-Dylan or Fang?

Here’s your answer:

blindbandit5 She ends up with Fang. It’s actually quite sweet when he comes back. He’s very open with his emotions. He makes me swoon 🙂 I’m so glad these two end up together.

Alright, now let me knick off the crazy stuff to spoil the novel even more.

-Who dies: Maya (HAZA!! YES!!! FINALLY!!!), and Ari (again, haha)

-Speaking of Ari, yes, he comes back. Not the real Ari, just a replacement that Jeb made because he was feeling so bad that he raised his real son awfully. I mean, I guess I can get this plot twist, but it actually made me very upset. Why couldn’t Patterson leave Ari alone? I really enjoyed the boy he turned into in the third book right before he passed away. He should’ve just left him alone. I suppose he was just trying to bring Erasers back, I suppose. Didn’t really work for me.

-The Voice: get ready for it…

Angel. Yup. The Voice is Angel. As you can imagine, I was like o.O WHAT? It doesn’t make sense to me, I couldn’t really put the pieces together. I mean, I get Angel can talk in peoples’ heads, but I mean come ON. Really? How would Angel really be that smart even in the beginning of the series? Plus, the Voice pops up when Max is at really far distances, and I don’t believe that Angel can even reach that far through thought. Which I want to bring up another point. While she was captured in this book, the Voice spoke in Max’s head (and everyone else’s), but she didn’t bother to actually say in her own voice: “yo, pick me up, would you? I’m dying here!” Also, how would Jeb know about the Voice? Remember him imitating it in the third book? Things just don’t add up.

-Cool twists:

1. Dr. Martinez is found on the “bad side”. But, apparently, Jeb brainwashed her to be there. Which, as you can guess, I don’t believe. Patterson just wanted a way to still make her a good person somehow. I call bull.

2. Fang’s DNA is now super freaking badass. In this book, a bunch of scientists are after him because Fang holds…wait for it…the key to immortality. Give yourself a moment to let that sink in. All of the scientists want this guy now to test on and etc, but Jeb wants him dead because that kind of power will populate the Earth too much or something along those lines. Which reminds me of the next point.

3. Dylan goes a little coo-coo. He’s asked to kill Fang because of reason above, and at first he says no. Then he realizes that other scientists want him, and he doesn’t want Fang to be tested on for the rest of his life, so to put him out of his future torture, he goes on a mission to kill the guy. Stupid Dylan.

4. As for why they developed gills, I first thought it was a way for Patterson to get the flock out of the situation in the fourth book. But no, alas, it came in handy in this one. When I mean come in handy, I mean save their lives. Max and Fang (very beautiful scene, by the way) hold onto each other as a massive waves comes in to kill them, and right before it crashes, Fang declares his love for her. *swoon* And when you think they’re dead…BAM! Epilogue, they’re just fine. Quite frankly I already remembered that they could breathe underwater, I just thought that the massive weight of the water would crush them.

5. Already mentioned above, but Ari comes back. I’m not a happy person about that subject.

6. Fang’s gang obviously splits up. I hated those guys anyway, they had no character to me. They weren’t trustworthy, as I came to find out anyway. Star and Kate end up going on Ari’s side because they want to be saved and blah, blah, blah. And Fang just ends up leaving the other guys in the gang. Good job, Fang. Good job. Which reminds me, right before Maya died (YAY!), she confessed her love for Fang. I wanted to slap a girl across the face. How long has she known him? Like, five months? Shut up, girl, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I obviously couldn’t feel the sadness Fang was feeling when she passed, I was too busy popping the confetti.

Alright, I think I got the main points all spoiled for you ^_^ In another post I’m going to jot down all of my thoughts while reading the book just for kicks and giggles. I’ll link it here when it’s finished.

Enjoy reading, and tell me what you thought about the book!

Fly on!

Review on “Nevermore”

Yes, I’m an incredibly fast reader. I bought the book around 1:30 today and have finished it three hours later. It’s 344 pages long, by the way, so I was actually going kind of slow. You know, I do need food and bathroom breaks 🙂

Anyway, you don’t want to hear me ramble. I’m going to give you a review of the last Maximum Ride book without trying to spoil too much. Of course I’m just going to do that tomorrow, since I’m just evil like that. And after that, I’m posting my thought process throughout the story, just to get some kicks and giggles from my Maximum Ride fans.

Alright, so, here we go with a review with no spoilers. I’ll link a spoiled review in my post tomorrow. I guess I don’t want to ruin it just yet for other readers. The details, at least.

Anyway, let me go on a few key points that you find out in the story:

-What side Jeb is really on

-Where Dr. Martinez was, as well as why

-Who the Voice is

-Why the flock gained the ability of gills

-If Max ends up saving the world (ha, gets kind of complicated here. And a little confusing)

-Dylan or Fang

-Where Angel was captured at the end of the last book “Angel”

-HOW the world ends (I don’t know why I put that in all caps, by the way)

-What major characters die

-And (obviously) if Max survives or not

And, no, you never get to figure out who the parents are of the rest of the flock. Just putting that out there. Like, seriously, who was Fang’s parents? Come on.

Anyway, here we go. Let me give you a very quick sum of what I thought of the book right here and right now: very fast paced, and it felt too short.

Voila.

Now let me go into more detail, eh?

First, the negatives: the pace was very, very fast. I mean, this can also be good, but at some points I was like “Hold up! Slow down! I can’t even connect with certain emotions they’re feeling!” Especially when it gets to the end. I was just like o.O from being so rushed. I think I read it twice. Then again being a huge fan, I’m so giddy with what’s going to happen that I don’t give myself time to slow down. So, tip: keep your pace with this book. Take some breaks. I think it’ll let the information sink in better.

Romance doesn’t seem to be in the proper places here. Right after crazy scenes with Fang, it’s all peaceful with Max and Dylan. I wanted to shake the book like crazy for at least some kind of fight to break out. I guess this also ties with the emotions factor. I didn’t feel like Patterson gave us enough time to click with what characters are feeling, since everything is just go, go, go! It’s kind of overwhelming. Maybe he wanted it to be that way?

Some points seemed to be missed. The Voice ends up giving advice to all of the flock members, and it doesn’t really connect with what actually ends up happening. I mean, at first you’re like “yeah! Go flock! Rock on!” But when it gets down to it, when I finished the last page, I couldn’t help but think: “umm…why did they want Nudge to do that? Or why did they want Iggy and Gazzy to do whatever? And Dylan? I mean…what?” It’s just kind of redundant.

Some points, also, seem unbelievable. Such as who the Voice is. I rolled my eyes when I read who it was. I mean….seriously? As well as with Dr. Martinez deal, I was just like: “No…that doesn’t add up.” Also, we get introduced with Max going to school (not the torture school, mind you) with her flock. Uh…why? From the ending of the last book, they should be looking for Ella. But no. Let’s go to school instead! I have a feeling Patterson forgot how his last book ended or something!

So, I need to give good points here, before I go nuts: Max seems more like herself. She gets tougher and more of her leader self like we were first introduced. So, I was happy about that. Although I do miss her snoody side comments. I guess when everything is getting so dark, I don’t blame her. Which is another point I’d like to address, is that I like how I watched these characters grow up in the series. They matured and got wiser, and we see that in this book. Well, to an extent.

Someone dies. I hollered like a cheerleader when they did. As I sung, “I can see clearly now that the rain is gone! I can see all obstacles in my waaaaaaaay!” I’m so glad I was at home, since when I read their death, I shouted, “Finally!”

The ending. Although rushed, I was like: “Yes! Yes! Ohhhhhh wait….NO!!” Then was shouting, “Yay!” I’ll go into more detail when I spoil it for you next post. I think I’m still a little frazzled from the ending. Especially Max’s last words. And don’t think that gives anything away, the epilogue clearly says “Max’s last words.” I know, you’re probably like “Holy CRAP!” Shhh, shhhh, it’s okay 🙂 But yes, I was fine with the ending as a whole, I suppose.

As for more good points? Hmmm. Well although it was rushed, it kept me flipping through the book like a freaking maniac. There’s also a new twist in there, so HAZA! Patterson still has some things left up in his sleeve.

So, I’ll answer some main questions that I had in a post a long time ago. I won’t answer them point-blank, just my reaction.

-What side is Jeb really on? And will Max ever forgive him for what he’s done to her?

Ha! Oh, Lord.

-Will Angel make it out of wherever she got captured in the ending of “Angel”? Where is she captured to begin with?

I’ll just answer this one: yes, she does. Where is she captured, you say? Hmmmm *taps fingers against my chin* just somewhere evil, of course.

-What happened to Ella? Will she get experimented on too?

*shrug*

-What ever happened to the “redheaded wonder” that Fang was crushing on in the fourth book? Wasn’t Max warned that she could possibly be working for the evil side?

Good question, me. Good question.

-Will Fang ever join the flock again? Will Max ever be okay with Maya?

Ha! *does a little happy dance* Epic. Just so epic.

-Will Jeb and Dr. Martinez be okay? Where did they go anyway?

If you call being a maniac okay, then….

-What event is the end of the world? How will Max save it?

My goodness, I didn’t see that coming. I did not see that coming at all.

-Will a flock member die? (Rumor has it that may happen).

Rumors are evil little buggers, aren’t they?

-Will Iggy ever get his eyesight back?

What a silly question.

-Is Dylan officially a part of their flock now?

Ummm….sure? Yes? I think? Why not!

-Will the rest ever find their parents?

I already spoiled this above, so no. It doesn’t matter in this point in the game anyway

-Dylan or Fang?

🙂

So, that will be my main review of this book by James Patterson. Overall I thought it was pretty good, and very suspenseful. I’ll probably read it again this week when my brain isn’t so fizzled with giddiness. I’m still trying to conjure everything that happened. And still a little bummed that certain things didn’t. Oh well, c’est la vie.

Enjoy reading it 🙂 I’m going to go on a whole rant of spoilers in my next post, which you can read here. Go and comment below if you’d like!

The end of Maximum Ride. Wow. I can’t wrap my head around it just yet. Am I sad it’s over? Yes, completely. Am I happy with the ending? Sort of.  Can I see another book after this one? There could easily be another one, but I doubt he’d do that. So, you be the judge. Read it and savor it. Nom, nom, nom.

Love all you Maximum Ride lovers, and fly on!

Fan Art: Maximum Ride (Fang and Dylan)

So, yes, I’m obsessing over the last freaking book to come out tomorrow 😀 So I looked up some artwork from deviantART to share with you all, specifically mister Dylan and Fang. It’s like all around the websites that people want Fang and Max together, so don’t hate me when I say this. I actually don’t mind Dylan. I mean, I know Fang and Max have been together for so long, but I don’t know…Dylan is alright too. Then again I’m a sucker for blue eyes and blonde hair so….

Anyway, here’s some fan art for you all 🙂

blindbandit5 draws Fang and Dylan side by side. Awesome. Just plain awesome.

Another drawing by blindbandit5 of Dylan. He looks so sweet in here, then again that’s just how he is 🙂

Ha! I love this comic by DeathByBacon. It’s so epic and so true 😀

Another picture of Dylan drew by Clavelle. Agh, he’s so cute XD

*swoon* 🙂 blindbandit5 draws Fang and Max kissing together in the sky. I love the passion here 🙂

I can’t wait for tomorrow! Ahhhh!!! Nevermore finally out! Woo! I’ll make sure to post my review ASAP, as well as spoilers just because I won’t be able to keep myself quiet haha 🙂

Fly on!

Small Review I Found on “Nevermore”

So, I was snooping around as to how much the book cost so I had enough money for tomorrow, but I came across some reviews of it as well. Since the book came out earlier in the UK, someone did their own review of the book. I love their review. It doesn’t give anything away, yet gets me so interested. So, I found it on goodreads.com, and this commenter is named Flllppa. So, check it out! I’m going to put my own review on here after I read the book 🙂 Enjoy!

“Okay, guys. Nevermore was released on August 2nd in the UK. It’s now 2am the next day and I’ve just finished reading it.

To be honest, the only coherent thought I have about it is: DA FUQ WAS THAT?

I swear, the whole thing was a bit of a blur.

I suppose the main thing is: was it good?
Well, maybe. Like I said, I don’t really know what to think of it at the minute. And I was so ready to hate it. But to say I liked it is maybe stretching it a bit. I think I was content with it.

This was the end. Every ounce of love, hate and frustration we fans have been building up for years was riding on this book. This was the make or break of how the series will be remembered.

Personally, it could have been a lot worse. It really could.

The first half, though, I was all ready to throw into a bonfire adorned with a James Patterson Guy on top whilst I danced around the edge waving ‘The Angel Experiment’ in the air. It was exactly the drivel we’ve been putting up with ever since Dylan entered the scene. (Oh Dylan. How I hate you)

However, it began to change half-way through. It’s like it was almost back to the Maximum Ride of old. The characters were almost IN character (you tried, Patterson). But like I say; almost.

I much preffered the Max of this book to the Max of, say, everything after book 5. She still had her OOC moments, of course, but every now and then there were glimpses of the kick butt girl we know and love.
She reminded me why I ever loved the series in the first place.

I’m not going to comment on the whole Max/Fang/Dylan fiasco, because I don’t want to ruin it. I won’t even give away whether I’m crying with joy or am currently hunting JP down as we speak. If you really cant wait to find out what happens though, drop me a message and I’ll let you know.

Ah, the ending. I guess this is what the whole thing was about, right? The official Facebook page made such a hoopla about it being the END of MAXIMUM RIDE. She was going to DIE, DEAD, FOREVER.

Did she? Well….spoilers 😉

No seriously though, that ending was weird. So rushed, unexplained, oddly set out. At times I was staring at the page thinking WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE PEOPLE?

Did the end justify the story? Jury’s out on this one I’m afraid.

Did the end justify the means? With Maximum Ride, always.

Now, I’m going to post those ten questions we were promised would be answered in Nevermore. I won’t give away those answers, but I will post my own reactions alongside.

1.Who will Max finally choose–her beloved Fang or steadfast Dylan?

2.Who is The Voice Max hears in her head?
I admit, I was surprised. And completely unconvinced.

3.Which Member of Fang’s Gang will betray him?
Ah, Fang’s Gang. How I hated you all. All I’ll say here is: memberS

4.Whose side is Angel really on?
Will we EVER know who’s side she’s on? Okay, maybe I’m being a little unfair here, because Angel goes through hell in this book.

5.Is Jeb trying to protect Max and the Flock? OR is he working for the bad guys?
As with Angel, I don’t think we’ll ever really know.

6.Will Iggy ever regain his sight?
What a strange question.

7.Why did the Flock evolve to be able to breathe underwater?
Clever. Quite clever. It makes sense now.

8.Will Iggy and Ella ever be together?
Like I’m gonna spoil the fun for all you Eggy lovers out there 🙂

9.Is the apocalypse the result of human folly and hatred, a disease, a natural disaster, or an invasion from outer space?
I have NO idea. Like I said, the ending was a bit of a haze. Personally, I think it was aliens. Just ’cause.

10.Can Max really save the world?
Could YOU save the whole world?

11.And the most important question of all: who will die? (You didn’t think it would end with out someone dying, did you?)
Oh happy days, oh happy DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYS”

There you go! Are you excited for the last book to come out?

Fly on!

The countdown is still on! The last book of the series is coming out on August 6th! *squeal* 😀 So I’m going to be like a crazy girl and post Max Ride like crazy for a while. And yes, I’m going to be posting a review of “Nevermore” once I get done reading it, which will be shortly after I buy it 🙂

For now, please enjoy this fan art brought to you by deviantART 🙂

CherieGu put much thought into Iggy and Fang, since they put chess pieces with their characters to symbolize them. Here, I’ll quote what they said: “Fang is a Queen’s Bishop. In a religious sense, a bishop is the spiritual support of the royal family. The Queen’s Bishop stands faithfully beside the Queen, ready to support or protect her when ever she needs. Iggy, on the other hand, would be a knight. Knights are often overlooked because they are deemed the “weakest” of the royal army, just as Iggy would be, since he’s the blind kid. However, when Knights call upon their hidden strength, not even Queens could stand in their way.” Very well put, and great piece of art too!

Awww 🙂 This is a picture of Fang and Angel done by burdge-bug. I like how someone thought outside of the box, since we don’t really see first hand of Fang being like this with Angel, but I think it’s cute 🙂 I love both of their faces!

Oh, I love this drawing of the flock by burdge-bug. Iggy’s expression is my favorite 🙂

Great artwork of Maximum done by gemmafm. The wings are awesome, and her face is pretty intense! It captures her personality perfectly!

This is a super epic drawing of Gazzy done by vampire-kid. I love the viewpoint that they give, and it’s so cool that the series title is on the sole of his shoe! Awesome!

Another Gazzy picture! He looks so innocent in this one! 😀 But we all know the truth 🙂 Wonderful artwork by Blue-Hearts.

Same artist as above: Blue-Hearts. Beautiful artwork of Iggy, I’m just stunned. He looks so peaceful and whimsical.

Awwwww my gosh 🙂 Max and Fang flying together, holding hands, done by burdge-bug. I just love this!

Toadike25 describes this piece of art as the last battle. I like the thought 🙂 Great facial expressions!

Ha! I love this drawing done by being-elijah-piper. Scene from “Fang” when Dylan and Fang are arguing it out, and Max is just so fed up with it 🙂 I LOVE Fang’s face haha

Holy (insert choice of cuss word here)! Realistic interpretation of Max done by kittrose. I’m like…speechless. I love her face! It’s just so epic!

That’s it for today! Check out all other artwork on deviantART by these artists 🙂 And I’m counting down the days until the last one comes out!! *squeal* 😀

Nevermore

Alright Maximum Ride lovers, the release date to the last book in the series is counting down for “Nevermore” It comes out August 6th, so mark it on your calendars!

I’m personally not a huge fan of the title, but oh well, I suppose I can’t complain too much! So, apparently this book will answer all of our questions in the series, and the ending (according to James Patterson) may not be how we wanted it to end.

Eeeek! That can mean so many things! So, I think I should make a list of questions that’ll hopefully be answered in this last novel to this epic series. And if you haven’t read all of the books up until this one, then I warn you, my questions will have spoilers in them. Try and catch up, readers! The last one is almost here!

-What side is Jeb really on? And will Max ever forgive him for what he’s done to her?

-Will Angel make it out of wherever she got captured in the ending of “Angel”? Where is she captured to begin with?

-What happened to Ella? Will she get experimented on too?

-What ever happened to the “redheaded wonder” that Fang was crushing on in the fourth book? Wasn’t Max warned that she could possibly be working for the evil side?

-Will Fang ever join the flock again? Will Max ever be okay with Maya?

-Will Jeb and Dr. Martinez be okay? Where did they go anyway?

-What event is the end of the world? How will Max save it?

-Will a flock member die? (Rumor has it that may happen).

-Will Iggy ever get his eyesight back?

-Is Dylan officially a part of their flock now?

-Will the rest ever find their parents?

Hopefully all of those things are covered! I wonder how long the book will be, hopefully a big ol’ chunk that’s like 600 plus pages long 🙂 that’d be great! Do you have any questions that you want answered?

As for my own predictions for the books, it’s really hard to say. I mean, I have no idea what “saving the world” consists of. And my gosh if it’s about global warming again I swear I’m going to smack Patterson on the side of the head. Give us explosions and epic fights, not some crap about cleaning penguins in Antarctica. Thank you!

As for the little love triangle business, I have a feelings that won’t be the biggest issue in the last book, considering this will be the last big HOORAH! I think it’ll be more focused on the actual problems at hand instead of Max’s love life, and I think she would prefer it that way too. I’m iffy about who she’d end up with, but I suppose I’ll just have to see how that plays out. I think Max could do well with both guys because quite frankly although Fang has always been there, Dylan just knows how to bring out her happier side. Let me make a comparison here. In “The Hunger Games” Katniss is focused more on taking down the capital (just like Max is concerned with the whole end of the world thing), and she was having issues of Gale or Peeta, even though that wasn’t her main focus (just like Max). Gale had been there her whole life and was her hunting buddy (just like Fang has always been there to fight with her), while Peeta brought out the softer side of her heart. Katniss chooses Peeta in the end because he’s the brightness in her life, while Gale was a fighter, and she didn’t need any more fire that she already had inside of her. Fang is kind of like Gale, and Dylan is kind of like Peeta. They’re two different people that offer different things for Max. I know the whole “Dylan was created in a lab and it’s freaky how he’s designed to be in love with her” thing, but I’ve grown to be okay with the guy. Once you get past the weirdness, he’s alright. To remind you all, it’s not Dylan’s fault that Fang left. Fang left because he didn’t want to endanger the others. Just saying.

That was a long rant.

Anyway, as for the others, I’m not really sure how it’ll all play out. I think Jeb is on Max’s side, and I got that vibe from him a long while back; he just got on the inside to get more info so he can better protect his daughter. Yeah he’s screwed up for barely paying attention to his own son, but I don’t know…I think he’s in the right place.

I think Angel is entirely on Max’s side again. But who knows, she may still want to be a leader in another aspect.

Oh, and whatever happened to the clone of Nudge and Angel anyway? Oh my gosh, wouldn’t that be creepy if the clones were there the whole time and no one knew? Oh jeez I’m freaking out just thinking about that! Poor men, they don’t get cloned.

As for the ending, I’m not really sure how it’ll all play out. Of course Max will almost die at some point, but I don’t see Patterson completely killing her off. If he were to kill off a huge main character, then it’d probably be Angel. Maybe she dies by protecting Max? Not sure, really. I think it’ll be a sad but good ending all in one. I just think in the end he’ll give us a message that although a sad sacrifice can take place, we can still live our lives with our wings spread (literally or not) and soar onward to better things.

Only 26 days left until the book is out, and don’t worry, I’ll be posting a review right after I’m done reading it! Which I think will only take me a day or two 🙂

What are your predictions for the last book in the Maximum Ride series?
